Mrs. Linda Garczynski called the meeting to order at 10:03am.

Budget Report

Mr. Griffin gave a report on the status of funds and explained current amount available in contracted services for the construction of the ground water lowering system. Mr. Griffin also gave an update on the application status for the two grants the County has applied for the ground water lowering system.

Ocean Sands Ground Water Lowering Pumping System Design and Construction

 

Mr. Delucia of Albemarle and Associates gave an explanation of segments one through five, what has been constructed and what will be constructed in the following segments. Segments one and two being constructed, Mrs. Timberlake motioned to approve the request to advertise on a bid alternative basis for segments three, four and five. Mr. Anderson seconded the motion. 

The board stressed the need to investigate flooding mitigation options for Ocean Sands section F before coming storm season. Mr. Griffin agreed to investigate options and report back to the board at next meeting.
